update: The list to get one of my free paintings is about 400 people long. (Sweet!) I paint as dilligently as I can and people keep requesting so thats about the length its staying currently. If you're submitting a request right now, keep in mind that you'll be at the end of that list of 400 people. Its not that I'm ignoring you, its just that I haven't got to you yet. If you want to move up on the list, by all means donate. The more you donate, the faster you'll get my attention. If you'd like to pay to commission an artwork or a series, email me with the subject PAID COMMISSION REQUEST and we'll work something out. Check out the Gallery to see how many I've painted so far and mailed around the world.
Seriously. I'm not trying to mislead you.
How to request: Email me at ali.spagnola@gmail.com to request a painting. You can be as specific as you'd like when telling me what you want. What should be the subject? What colors should I use? Or you can leave it up to me. You could even ask for one you see on this site. I specialize in cute things so if you don't tell me otherwise, it's going to be adorable. But more importantly, its going to be FREE. I won't even charge you for shipping for fear of that seeming like a price.
While we're on the subject of money. I'd like to mention that I have a paypal donation link and I'd really appreciate your support. I love making art and I love staying alive. So please help me out with that. While being a starving artist is romantic, it's not practical. Donating is by no means required to get a painting but if you do donate, the amount may effect where you are placed on the wait list for my art. You can help keep me alive by donating even if you don't request a painting. I will also accept donations after you receive and are happy with one of my paintings as long as you promise to not frame it in your mind as payment. If you really want to challenge me, try to request a subject that I haven't painted yet. Make sure you check out the Gallery because I've painted A LOT of things. Speaking of a lot, many people keep asking me if they should donate as if it would be inappropriate to do so. I can assure you that is not the case. Just because I want people to have my art for free doesn't mean I don't need support. You aren't paying for an original signed commissioned artwork. You aren't paying for supplies. You aren't paying for shipping and packaging. You aren't paying for my hours of work. But you CAN donate to show that you appreciate all of these things. And I will appreciate your money in return.
Some further notes: The more people that request paintings, the better I get at painting and the more famous I get, the more my paintings are worth. Everybody wins! So email me. I want to make you something.
